I am a first year PhD student at Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering. I am studying on behavioral game theory which interests in human behavior and preferences in a competitive environment.

My current study is about US visa issuance process. The aim of this study is to understand applicants’ behavior and preferences during the visa issuance process in order to determine optimal screening policies for US consulates. In order to complete my research, I need to collect real data on applicants’ preferences.

Many thanks to system administrators. Checkee.info is really helpful!

Some suggestions: (1) Maybe the system can email checkees who do not update for, say, two weeks to do a potential update. (2) Some checkees may forget about their passwords, and thus add duplicate entries with the same IDs. It would be better if the system can automatically merge these entries.

If developers have a clean plan for system upgrades, I would be more willing to donate.

Some cases are not administrative process at all, which can significantly decrease the average waiting time.

Why not add a place for the reader to make comment or ask questions to completed checkees?

i'm gonna crawl the checkee.info pages and email all the Pending cases and ask them to kindly update if their case has been issued. This will help the rest to get a clear sense on how long we will need to wait... It would be really nice to actually include the case number in the submission form (not sensitive information as the DOS asks you for your passport number). It would be really cool if the checkee.info site can actually do hourly queries to the ceac to crawl the latest information based on the case number and location.

发现有的同学已经clear了，但没及时更新，这不成虚假信息了吗？被check后希望了解签证发放进展情况的那种迫切心情大家都是亲身体味了的，check过程不透明，没有更多信息渠道，大家都指望着从Check Reporter上了解信息，还是尽量把信息填准确以帮助别人了解真实情况吧，帮助别人也是帮助自己。

The VO told me to wait for 4 weeks on 1 11th, 2011.
An e-mail from Visa Section, U.S. Embassy Beijing yesterday told me that my visa would be available in 3 to 5 business days.
Today I can see here it was cleared.

There should be a filter on the type of visa.

Also, the display should be in chronological order with date range filter, without the monthly link. The monthly data should be used for statistics purpose only
